Additionally, I am a volunteer coach for an under 6 rugby team in Bromley and live locally in Welling with my partner and my six-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Maya attended Townley Grammar School in Bexley before studying Law and French Law at King’s College London and the Sorbonne University in Paris.

Maya has a car-obsessed little boy, who keeps her busy outside of work. She also enjoys going to antique furniture markets, watching foreign films and spending time on the coast.
Hannah JackPolicy OfficerDepartment for Education |
I am an experienced policymaker at the Department for Education where I advise on school curriculum as a member of the languages team. I work with schools, universities and other organisations within the education sector to implement the government’s ambitions for languages teaching and learning in schools in England. As a former primary school teacher and languages specialist coordinator, I have a Masters in Education where I focused my studies on language learning among primary pupils. I speak French and Spanish and am beginning to learn Mandarin.
