Fr Mark serves the people of Sidcup as Vicar of Holy Trinity Lamorbey. He brings experience as a former solicitor and University law lecturer to the Amadeus Trust. He is passionate about the flourishing and dignity of every child in our care.
Prior to ordination, Fr Mark was the Director of Taught Graduate Programs at UCL lLaws, having taught litigation, trusts and business accounts.
From 1999-2003, he was a high street solicitor in Woolwich and Sevenoaks. Fr Mark has an MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education in addition to degrees in law and theology.
Hannah is Chair of Joint Standards Committee (JSC)
Hannah is an experienced policymaker at the Department for Education where she advises on school curriculum as a member of the languages team. Hannah works with schools, universities and other organisations within the education sector to implement the government’s ambitions for languages teaching and learning in schools in England. As a former primary school teacher and languages specialist coordinator, Hannah has a Master’s in Education where she focused her studies on language learning among primary pupils. Hannah can speak French and Spanish and has decided to learn Mandarin.
Andrew is a Compliance Officer in the Financial Services sector who has a great deal of experience in governance, regulation and challenging businesses and holding senior management to account. He is originally from Manchester and has a love of sport and theatre.
Mr John Simms is Audit & Risk Committee
John is one our founding Trustees who was in place at Hillsgrove prior to the formation of Amadeus and during the period of the Hillsgrove and Old Bexley Partnership. His children attended Hillsgrove and in 2005 John became a Community Governor of the Governing Body. In 2008, John was appointed Vice Chair and subsequently Chair in 2012.
John has been Chair of Audit & Risk since the foundation of the Trust in 2015.
In John's professional life he is an experienced Asset Finance Corporate Regional Director with a career at NatWest Group spanning 36 years. His responsibilities include people management, operational measures and risk mitigation.
Suzanne is a dynamic Education Consultant, providing leadership coaching and communications training. She has written various publications with major educational publishers. She has written, reviewed and edited education pathways for Oxford University Press and was commissioned to create a series of bite-sized videos for teachers new to middle leadership. Suzanne has delivered training on reading skills to teachers in Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia and also taught communication skills to SIA crew on a regular basis in Singapore.
As head teacher of a large, successful primary school and a ‘National Leader of Education’ (NLE), she led the school into its Outstanding status (Ofsted 2011) and followed this to the award of National Teaching School status in 2012. In March 2013 she was presented with the prestigious ‘Leadership in Education’ award by the president of the National Head Teachers' Association.
Maya attended Townley Grammar School in Bexley before studying Law and French Law at King’s College London and Sorbonne University in Paris. She has been working at Clifford Chance as a qualified solicitor since 2009, specialising in corporate and commercial matters, insurance, reinsurance and regulatory matters. Alongside this, Maya has been involved in several pro bono initiatives supporting women and children.
Maya has a car-obsessed little boy, who keeps her busy outside of work. She also enjoys going to antique furniture markets, watching foreign films and spending time on the coast.
As a governance professional with over 12 years of experience working in charities and membership bodies, Patricia has a wealth of experience supporting various boards, committees, and councils. She has managed compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Charity Commission and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator. Her responsibilities have encompassed overseeing AGMs, facilitating Council elections, and conducting comprehensive trustee inductions.
Peter Rhodes is our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Accounting Officer.
